The new FIDIC Suite of Contracts
Aarhus - 24.01.2018Copenhagen - 25.01.2018
The release of the new FIDIC Suite of Contracts is expected to offer many improvements and adjustments of the existing suite of 1999. Come to one of our after-work meetings in Copenhagen and Aarhus – and get wiser on the changes.
At this course – after a brief introduction to the FIDIC contracts – NJORD Law Firm will go through the new contracts, set out the changes, and explain how they are likely to affect FIDIC-based contracts.
Attorneys Lars Merrild Hareskov and Steffen Hebsgaard Muff will touch upon subjects such as the new risk allocation scheme, contract management, and dispute resolution so you understand how to implement these in your organisation.
A detailed programme for the course will follow the official release of the contracts, which is expected this year.
The course will be in English and is relevant for all current and potential FIDIC users.
The course will provide three credit points for the obligatory continuing legal education (advokaters løbende efteruddannelse).
Lars heads the construction law department at NJORD and has more than 20 years of experience with construction law and litigation. He regularly advises contractors in relation to claims handling and dispute resolution.
Lars has taught at both the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University and has taught courses for the Danish Bar and Law Society.
Steffen has been working with FIDIC-based contracts and disputes for several years, primarily in the offshore and energy industries. He works with FIDIC-based contracts on a daily basis and has several pending arbitration cases, which concern FIDIC terms.
Steffen has worked as contracts and claims manager as well as legal counsel with projects throughout Northern Europe and has experience in teaching at both the University of Copenhagen and Aarhus University.
