NJORD Estonia: NJORD Law Firm has been granted the status of a Certified Adviser of Nasdaq Tallinn First North Market

On 21th of September 2020 the Management Board of Nasdaq Tallinn AS has decided to grant NJORD Advokaadibüroo the status of a Certified Adviser of Nasdaq Tallinn First North (MTF - multilateral trading facility) Market.

First North is Nasdaq’s market designed for small and growing companies providing them access to all the benefits of being public while offering a simpler and less time-consuming listing process. All companies on First North must have a Certified Adviser to ensure that companies comply with all rules and requirements. The role of the Certified Adviser is to guide the company through the application process, helping it meet all the First North rules and regulations, and generally, after listing, to help it ensure ongoing compliance: in reporting, disclosure, etc.

Recently at a joint press conference with the Prosecutor General, head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Latvia Ilze Znotiņa said that the service she leads is planning to actively tackle suspicious transactions in the tax area and collect information on tax evasion.
