Malene Pedersen primarily works with intellectual property law, IT and internet law, and data protection law.
She advises both private and public-sector organisations on data protection law issues, including GDPR compliance, data processing agreements, transfers of personal data to third countries, and the use of new technological solutions where data protection and security are central considerations.
Malene has experience in intellectual property and marketing law, where she advises on both the protection of rights and the rules that apply to marketing. She also assists with IT and technology contracts, including licence, development and operations agreements. She has a particular interest in the legal challenges that arise from the use of new technology and data.
Malene is also a board member of Aarhus Retshjælp. Here she contributes legal and organisational expertise, including drafting rules of procedure, grant applications, the annual report, and consultation responses.
